14 Jun 2008 - Summer Family Barbeque - Finlaystone Country Estate, Langbank, Renfrewshire

The Lodge has arranged a summer event this year in the form of a Family barbeque. All brethen, families and friends are welcome and we would encourage you to come along and enjoy a beer and a bite to eat in the beautuful setting of Finlaystone Country Estate, Langbank. ( just off the M8 towards Greenock).

 

 

The Galen Family Bar-b-que will take place on Saturday 14th June, starting at 1pm and will be set up on the “Laundry Green” picnic area. Burgers, bangers, chicken & salad are on the menu with a few drinks thrown in for the adults and juice for the kids. If the weather is inclement then we have pre-booked the Old Laundry next to the green and we’ll hold the party there.

 

Tickets are priced at £6 for adults and kids go free. This includes entrance to the park and food & drink.

 

 

 

How to get there                                            

 

By Car:  25 minutes drive from Glasgow , following the M8/ A8 westbound, past

Glasgow   International   Airport and just beyond Langbank. Follow the Scottish Tourist Board brown and white signs for Finlaystone.

 

By Train: Train from Glasgow Central to Langbank train station, Renfrewshire. Finlaystone is 20 minutes walk.

 

Finlaystone Estate covers approximately 140 acres of woodland and offers much to see and do. For the more adventurous, try exploring the Indian fort, or zip slide your way to the Pirate ship. Each glade opens onto new wonders. For the less energetic, relax with a cup of tea in the “Celtic Tree” tea room, wander through the beautiful walled garden or stroll on and discover the stunning landscaped gardens beyond. …..or sit by the Barbie, have a few beers and catch up with some old friends. Whatever you decide, come and enjoy.
